General Instructions for Posh Inkabilities and Lumiere Technique shown above:

  1. Take your bottles of Inkabilities and drop ink into the texture crevices.  You can blow air into the ink and move it around.  Add as many colors as you like, making sure all of the crevices are colored. Let Dry. Spritz or drip water onto the pieces to dilute and mute the colors or just go onto the next step.
  2. Take a Lumieres in contrasting or different color tone from the ink you chose and dip your finger into the paint.  Just a little and rub over the top of the clayful, so that the raised portions pick up the paint.  Just like if you were rubbing pearl-ex onto textured polymer clay.  You can also pain the back of the piece.
  3. If the piece is going to be touched a lot, you might want to brush a coat of some sort of acrylic sealer on each side to protect all your hard work.
  4. Now you can do a variety of things with it.  Add to a card, add to a collage, add a pin back and wear it, or whatever you want.  The ones with holes can be used as pendants or as embellishments on books or tags.
